Nelson Mandela Bay is on the rise as a film-making hotspot.
Thanks to passionate local initiatives like the NMB Film Forum, the Bay is becoming a growing destination for storytelling, film production, and creative opportunities.
Over R500 million in direct investment has been injected into the Eastern Cape film industry—creating thousands of jobs and uplifting filmmakers, crews, and small businesses across Gqeberha and surrounding areas.
In recent years, local projects received millions in funding, helping over 170 small enterprises and putting Gqeberha talent on the map.
A new R10 million infrastructure deal is paving the way for film studios, post-production facilities, and mentorship spaces right here in the Bay.
